The financial backer of the Justice /Co/mrades. He decided to fund the J/co/ after getting sucked through a Time Portal and ending up in modern day /Co/ City. His money had earned interest in the banks while he was gone, and he is now ungodly rich.
World 19.6: The Beginning
London 19.6, 1875. A British exploration team is displaying its prize find from a Tibetan expedition- a velociraptor, prefectly preserved in a block of solid ice. At that precise moment, however, the fair is attacked by a mad scientist (Dr. Von Krautt) who destroys the temperature-control systems and begins terrorizing the populace- until he finds himself knocked out by a well-thrown punch.
Thus entered London 19.6's greatest hero of the late 19th century, and undeniably the greatest detective their universe had ever seen- Chaptor. Armed with the cumulative knowledge of the past 75 million years, a significantly prolonged lifespan, and a sizable amount of cash seized from the scientist's holdings, Chaptor began a seventeen-year-career that would leave London 19.6 virtually crime-free. With his maid, Agnes, he solved some of the most gruesome and complex cases ever seen on the city's streets and forged a legacy that has kept the crime rate down lower than any other city in World 19.6 to this day.
Chaptor's arrival also triggered a massive influx of anthropomorphic characters into London 19.6, some good, most evil. Chaptor took the influx as a personal responsibility, disdaining his jaws for the "noble art" of fisticuffs and battling a gigantic library of foes in addition to his old nemesis Von Krautt. Some of these included:
-Ursus McFlannigan (the bear commander of the IRA)
-Vladmir Corbachev (a Russian eagle with territorial issues)
-Guido Triciano (an Italian triceratops mob boss)
-Ook-Lao (a monkey opium magnate)
-Najeeb Saif (an Arabian panther merchant)
-Count Egabbab Gnirut (the Balkans' technocratic Czernoborg)
-Prometheus Dinn (a dilophosaurus mercenary)
The Gold-Plated Age
Chaptor supposedly was killed during the Bannister Affair in late 1892, but people elsewhere had seperate plans. In World 27C, Doctor Science was busily testing out his new time-traveling equipment when the Justice /Co/mrades (namely the Nuclear Knight, Atomic Esquire, and the Ameragician) burst in to ruin his shit. Doctor Science fired at them with his Time Gun and promptly tore the Multiverse a new one, yanking Chaptor, most of his Rogue's Gallery, Silver Dollar, Blood Money, and Snake Eyes into world 27C. The cumulative result was the destruction of the Time Gun, the near-beating of Doctor Science's ass (cheap bastard teleported out), the Charity Street Shootout, and the real takeoff of a Golden Age for the J/co/. Chaptor discovered that his money was still registered in /Co/ City's banks, and had gained approximately a hojillion dollars worth of interest across the expanse of time, and as a result he agreed to fund the J/co/ as they grew and expanded.
Though his primary purpose to the J/co/ is that of a backer, Chaptor still pursues his old career as a detective in the understreets of /Co/ City, hunting out nasties and no-goods for the J/co/ to handle. He's still as good as ever with his fists, and nothing on the Teacup can outrun a velociraptor.
Justice /Co/nquerers
In the world of the Justice Conquerors, Chaptor is a dinosaur on the run. Forced from his brownstone in the Victorian district by Evil Nicky Two-Vests after he attempted to use the remainder of the /Co/mrades to stop their renegade leader, Chaptor is now constantly on the move through the lower infrastructure deep within the Teacup, hunting for the long-lost controls to /Co/ City's ultimate weapon while leading Evil Captain Skinless and his goons off on a wild goose chase, far from Agnes and what remains of the /Co/mrades.
