As the power of the Justice /Co/mrades continued to grow in size and power, it was inevitable that so too would its enemies. Shortly following the Mid-Life Crisis, several new opposition teams erupted to oppose the great Comraderie, with names like the League of Super Trolls, the White Diamond Cult, and the ever-hated Otherkin Authority.

Despite the increased threat to /Co/ City, the Comrades maintained their viciously high levels of screening policy and acceptance protocols, selecting only a few new superheroes to bolster their ranks every now and again. Some, however, thought this to be a foolish course of action to take in such trying times- among them one of the founding /Co/mrades, Chief Girly Shoes. Shortly after the Mid-Life Crisis, he bade the J/Co/ farewell, and founded his own team deep within the heart of the Central District- the aggressive Counterforce.

Taking in the just-barely-rejected of the J/Co/, the Counterforce has become dedicated to the policy of preemptive action, and though this has earned them some ire their track record in these fledgling days has left almost nothing to be desired.
