While investigating the disappearance of his best friend, world-renowned inspector Beaman Ugene Gage found himself in an abandoned science fair. When he followed a mysterious shadowy figure up onto a catwalk, the catwalk gave way and he fell into an oversized jar of experimental science insects, which then in turn fell into an experimental teleporter. The accident scrambled his DNA with various super powered insects, and the result was Inspector Insector, the world's greatest inspector!

Powers: The wings give him limited flight, his eyes can see in the dark and in many spectrums, he has an extremely advanced sense of smell, he possesses above normal strength and agility, tiny hairs on his body alert him to incoming projectiles, he can stick to walls, he can survive by eating almost anything if necessary, and he commands the loyalty of any insects whom he can convince to join his cause. He is vulnerable to Raid, sticky surfaces, extreme cold, and many other things. He is the world's foremost crime solver and is called upon to solve the unsolvable. He is a bit of a conspiracy theorist, but also a skilled detective and crime fighter. He continues to search for clues to the mystery of what happened to his friend, to date it is the only case he hasn't been able to solve.
