While watching the latest politician explain away yet another corruption scandal on the TV, his brother, a police officer, turned to him and told him how tired he was of all the corruption and crime and the apathy of the people, and he wished just one single person would show that they were paying attention, saw the things that were wrong, heard the bullshit they were told and were fed up with it, if even just by standing up and saying "Eh? What the hell are you talking about?" when faced with it. When Michael's brother was killed while on duty, he decided that that someone was going to be him. Fashioning a featureless steel mask to represent his role as the everyman and armed only with a custom-made metal cane and his unending love for justice and the teachings of Ayn Rand, he takes on the crimes and corruption that the rest of society overlooks as the urban vigilante, Mr. Eh?.
