Alastor Webb was a man of the community, leading a fairly large congregation and providing inspiration to the masses. Little did he know that when a hellish event erupted in his city that he was not to be spared despite his faith. The creatures that ravaged the neighborhood took special interest in the brave reverend who tried to combat them, capturing Webb and attempted to convert him into a demon much like themselves to further torture the ones who dared to survive and follow him. With sadistic irony, they transformed him into a half-man, half-spider, yet Webb managed to resist the call of evil and keep his human mind. Besting his captors with his newfound abilities, Webb escaped only to find his city in ruins. Webb now journeys to find what caused this event and avenge his people.
